Improve treatment options for neuropsychiatric disorders
Where do you work?
I work at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, Department for Psychiatry.
How do you think we can improve treatment options for neuropsychiatric disorders?
Besides the clinical work my interest belongs to research questions that might help to improve the treatment options that we currently have for neuropsychiatric disorders. The usage of electrophysiological methods such as the electroencephalogram (EEG) or the electrocardiogram (ECG) allow the assessment of neuronal activity at different levels, in healthy subjects as well as in patients. From that perspective, the future for analyzing such complex datasets in order to individualize treatment can be found in applied neuronal networks like deep learning or machine learning.
I am a Research-Fellow at Research Institute Brainclinics.
